New experiments are happening in farming every day. An experiment has been done in fish farming, under which you do not need any pond to raise fish. In this, you can prepare round tanks anywhere and do fish farming in them. Although, with this technique, it will cost more than the pond to do fish farming business (Business Idea), but the good thing is that it will make you profitable. This new technique of fish farming is called Fish Farming Business by Biofloc Technique. Let us know how to raise fish with Biofloc Fish Farming. Also know how much the cost will be (Cost of Fish Farming by Biofloc) and how much profit (Profit in Fish Farming by Biofloc) can be earned.
What is biofloc technology?
In the biofloc technique of fish farming, ‘biofloc’ is actually a bacteria. This bacteria converts fish feces into protein. Under biofloc technology, fishes are reared in large tanks. Usually 17-18 thousand liters of water is put in a tank. These tanks can be big or small. When the fishes are fed, about half of it is eaten by the fishes, but the other half sits in the bottom.
After eating the grains, the fishes excrete, that too spreads in the water and settles down. Biofloc bacteria are added to these tanks, which convert fish excrement into protein. In this way, the excreta of the fish and the remaining food grains again become fish feed through biofloc. Please tell me that if this is not done then due to that feces and remaining fodder, the level of ammonia in the tank will increase, due to which the fishes can be harmed. At the same time, after removing the fish, you can put the remaining water in the fields, due to which the plants get nutrition.
How to make a biofloc tank?
To make a biofloc tank, you first need some place where this tank will be made. First of all, you have to press the soil below the tank well, so that after filling the water in the tank, the soil does not get buried. If you want to make a tank with 17-18 thousand liters of water, first fix a point and draw a line around it at 8 feet. In this way your tank will be 16 feet in diameter (long). Make a strong floor-like structure with bricks below and put a wire net of about 4 mm thick around it. Put a 12 mm thick rebar on the top of it, so that it does not break after filling the tank with water. After this, you will have to wrap tarpaulin (tarpaulin) inside the tank, so that a tank-like structure can be made.
After making the tank, first of all you have to fill water in it. It is necessary to check TDS of water. Along with this, it is also to be checked whether the level of anything else is not high, due to which the fish can be harmed. After this, after filling the water, the children of the fishes are put in it. You can take fish babies from government hatcheries. However, to take fish from the government, you have to apply for it first. These days many big farmers also supply baby fish, you can buy from them too. Keep in mind that it is necessary to keep the fishes in a temperature of 20-25 degrees, otherwise they may die.
In a tank of 16 feet i.e. 5 diameters, you can put about 1400 baby fish together. After this, you have to check every few days and put the fishes in different tanks according to their weight. In this way, it is easy for you to feed the fish, because the bait is put according to the fish. In biofloc fish farming technique, the rate of death of fish is very less. The biggest reason for this is that you check the water continuously, so the risk of diseases is very less. On the other hand, even if there is a disease in a tank, it can be easily dealt with by treating only one tank. To raise fish in the pond, you have to treat the entire pond, which is expensive.
Where you make fish tanks, you should also put a shade net over it. The shade net will not allow much sunlight to enter and will also protect it from fish eating birds. Along with this, some arrangement will have to be made for aeration ie air in every tank. You can take the help of an air pump motor, so that the oxygen level in the water does not drop. Due to the low level of oxygen, the growth of the fish slows down and at the same time there is a fear of death of the fish. In such a situation, keep in mind that there is a lot of need for electricity in biofloc farming, so keep a backup arrangement. How much cost, how much profit?
If you make a tank of 5 diameters, then about 25-30 thousand rupees will be spent in making the tank only. This includes the cost of tank net, bottom cast foundation and tarpaulin. At the same time, 22-25 thousand rupees will be spent in making the entire structure for pumping air with the blower. Apart from this, there will be some minor expenses including shed and structure. That is, in total, one of your tanks will be ready for fish farming for 70-80 thousand rupees. After this you just have to buy fishes and put them in the tank.
If you want to make fish up to 1 kg, then you will have to spend up to Rs.50 per fish. If you want to harvest fish up to half a kilo, then it will cost you about Rs.35-40 per fish. Whereas these fishes are sold in the market for Rs 100-120 per kg. At the same time, the price in retail can be up to Rs 200 per kg. In one tank you can keep 1000 fish comfortably. Suppose 100 of them die and 900 survive. In such a situation, even if you sell fish for just Rs.100, you will get fish worth Rs.90,000 from a single tank. From this, if you remove the expenditure of 50 thousand on 1000 fishes, then also you will get a profit of 40 thousand rupees.
In biofloc fish farming, fish farming with only one tank is expensive, in this case make a farm of at least 7 or 15 or 25 tanks. In such a situation, you will have to spend separately for the tank, but the cost of the blower will be only one time or it will increase marginally. In this way, if you make a structure of 15 tanks, then it will cost you about 5 lakh rupees, whereas it will cost you 70-80 thousand rupees to install a single tank. Now suppose that you rear 15,000 fish in 15 tanks, out of which 14,000 survive, then at the rate of Rs 100 you will earn Rs 14 lakh. Add to this the cost of Rs 50 per fish, then it will cost you around Rs 7.5 lakh. In this way, you will get a profit of about 6.5 lakh rupees from 15 tanks. If the rates are good then the profit will increase further. Also keep in mind that this profit is only for 6 months, you can harvest twice a year by doing fish farming.
Will get subsidy from the government
A scheme is being run by the Central Government to promote fisheries. The name of this scheme is Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. Under this, you are also given subsidy from the government to install biofloc system. The government gives 60 percent subsidy to women, while 40 percent subsidy is being given to men. Under the government scheme, you can install 7, 25 or 50 tanks. The height of these tanks must be at least 1.5 meters. Fish in the sea are killed in a very short period, due to which their reproduction is reduced. In such a situation, the governments of countries around the world are promoting biofloc farming.
